Covid spreads in Maharashtra: theaters and private offices to work at 50% of their capacity

In light of the increase in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, the state government on Friday issued a new batch of restrictions on hallways, theaters and private offices.
According to the latest Covid-19 guidelines, salons and theaters in Maharashtra will only be able to operate at 50 percent of capacity. Also, private offices would be allowed to employ 50 percent of employees.

Orientation for halls / theaters
Regardless of 50 percent of capacity, the Maharashtra state government order prohibits the use of theaters and halls for religious, social, political or cultural gatherings.
The order stipulates that theaters and halls can hold events in the following cases: Do not allow anyone without a mask; Check the temperature of everyone who enters the hall for a fever; And provide the right amount of hand sanitizers in different right places.
The order stated that "the institutions concerned [must] ensure the presence of sufficient manpower to enforce the use of masks, as well as maintain social distancing from all visitors at all times."
"If this is violated, the theaters / theaters in question must remain closed for a period until the central government notifies the Covid-19 pandemic as a disaster. The violation will also lead to sanctions under the Disaster Act. for the owner of the building â€, he added.
Instructions for private offices
The government order stipulates that all private offices, except those related to health and other essential services, must operate at 50 percent.Rest of the staff can work from home.
Guidelines for Government / semi-Government Institutions:
In the case of government or quasi-government offices, the head of the office must make a decision on employee attendance to ensure that all Covid-19 protocols are adhered to.Rest of the staff can work from home.
Orientation of the manufacturing sector:
The state government said the manufacturing sector could be operating at full capacity.
However, it is advisable to reduce labor to ensure adequate social distancing in the production plant. To maintain social distancing, manufacturing units may be allowed to increase their work shifts as approved by local authorities.
Maharashtra has been the hardest hit by COVID-19
Maharashtra is the Indian state most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the decline in daily Covid cases in various parts of India, the state continues to report the highest daily figures.
According to the latest data from the Federal Ministry of Health, Maharashtra has reported 25,833 new Covid-19 cases within the 24 hours ending Thursday morning. It is 65 percent of all reported cases in India.
Eight states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka and Haryana, show an upward trajectory in daily new cases.
The ministry said the center is actively engaging with all state and US governments, especially those showing a surge in new cases daily and with a large number of active cases.
